Soheil Levy joined the Criminal Defense Incorporated team in 2016 as an associate attorney where he handles a full misdemeanor caseload and some lower-level felony cases. Despite his short time with the firm, Soheil has quickly made a big impact by obtaining favorable results for clients in high stakes criminal cases. In a recent child abuse case, Mr. Levy successfully negotiated a plea deal for a client facing two counts of misdemeanor child abuse, reducing the charges to one count of simple battery. In his most recent domestic violence case, Soheil was able to obtain a deal where the prosecutor will dismiss three misdemeanor counts (Diversion), including domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon charges, upon his client’s successful completion of anger management and domestic violence classes. This prevented Soheil’s client from suffering a conviction that would have cost the client his high-paying job.
Soheil believes that his commitment to serving his clients with the best possible representation, coupled with his relentless work ethic allows him to obtain these types of results. Mr. Levy says that many dismissals and favorable plea deals occur as a result of meeting with supervisors from the District Attorney’s office or the City Attorney’s office, not just the prosecutors present in the courtroom on your court date, and persuasively arguing the evidence favoring their client and the difficulties the prosecution will face in trying to obtain a guilty verdict at trial. Pursuing these meetings is something that Public Defenders and other private attorneys rarely do, because it simply means more work and going the extra mile for clients, something Soheil does not shy away from.
Mr. Lewin I don’t know what to say, you saved my life. We made it. We came a long way didn’t we? When this thing started you were looking for direct evidence to vindicate me. Well guess what? God gave you a harder challenge.

In addition to his talent for negotiating favorable plea deals, Soheil has also proven to be an asset to the firm because of his ability to track down evidence favorable to his clients. In one case, Mr. Levy issued a supoena duces tecum to a third party business and worked closely with their counsel to successfully obtain surveillance footage, not originally obtained by law enforcement or the prosecution, showing his client being outnumbered and attacked minutes before he allegedly committed a battery.
Soheil also fights for clients with his in-depth knowledge of criminal motions. In a DUI Case, Soheil drafted a successful Pitchess Motion arguing that the arresting officer exhibited ethnic and high wealth bias against his client, which led to the disclosure of similar complaints made by other citizens located in the officer’s personnel file.
Mr. Levy earned his Juris Doctorate from St. John’s University School of Law in 2014, spending his first two years in law school living in New York City. He then transferred to Pepperdine University School of Law in Malbu, CA to finish his final year of law school. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in Biology, in 2010 from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
